Our Commitment to Supporting Gospel Ministries and Local Organizations
We support several ministries that seek to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ by serving those in need and proclaiming God’s word. At least 10 percent of congregational giving is distributed to mission work.
Local Missions
The Mount Clare Christian School (MCCS)
The school is located in a Southwest Baltimore neighborhood that struggles with the problems facing many inner-city communities; drug addiction, drug dealing, alcoholism, violence, prostitution, and poverty.
Some of their students come from families who want to raise their children in the light of Christ. They seek to assist and support them by presenting the Gospel of Christ - salvation by grace through faith in Him - to all that have not heard. For those students who have placed their faith in Christ, they want to help them grow stronger in their walk with Him.
They want all of their students to achieve to their maximum potential academically. They seek to develop leaders who will play an active role in restoring our community.
Helping Up Mission
Helping Up Mission provides hope to people experiencing homelessness, poverty or addition by meeting their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. HOM believes God’s love can set people free — from drugs and alcohol, from poverty and homelessness, and from any other self-destructive behavior.
The approach to treatment is holistic in nature. The Spiritual Recovery Program integrates the practical needs of their clients — food, clothing, shelter — with their clinical, mental health, medical, educational, and vocational needs. All of that is built upon a Gospel foundation. And by God’s grace, it can lead to lasting change.
Baltimore Antioch Leadership Movement
BALM’s mission is to multiply cross-cultural leaders for disciple-making movements for church planting and renewal for Baltimore and beyond. BALM focuses on theological education, gospel to life coaching and justice-mercy integration by partnering with the Metro Baltimore Seminary, pastors, churches and emerging leaders.
Foreign Missions
Mission to El Salvador – John and Danielle Snyder (Victoria and Ian)
We are on a mission to be a “hands-on” non-governmental organization working in the heart of San Salvador serving those who are deeply affected by the cycle of abject poverty. Our holistic approach creates sustainable projects which address the physical, spiritual, and mental needs of those most vulnerable to the defeating consequences of poverty. Steeped in relationship building and community engagement, our team works to discover and address core issues of inner-city poverty in order to restore dignity and safety to hurting and exploited Salvadorans. We have developed strategic partnerships with local churches and NGOs.
Programs include (but are not limited to)
Freedom from Addiction: (Bible studies, Medical and Mental Health Services; New Dawn, and The Lighthouse Project)
Freedom from Slavery: (Survivors Support, Micro-Enterprises, Anti-trafficking efforts, Relief Kits)
Freedom from Poverty: Offering skill training and employment opportunities (Lighthouse Bakery, Community Food Cooperative, Card-Making Micro-enterprise, Cyber Café, Kids at Risk Outreach)
SERGE: Grace at the Fray
Mission: Laying down our lives together for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ by establishing churches and transforming communities.
We support missionaries who serve in Granada, Spain, a predominantly Muslim community. For more information, contact the Leadership Team.
PIONEERS – Matthew & Maggie Loftus (Naomi, Leo & Henry)
