Our Commitment to Worship

We are committed to encouraging God’s people to Christ-centered worship as a comprehensive lifestyle, expressing worship toward him in all that we do. Worship is the natural outworking of a relationship with Christ in which we, as God’s children, express love, affection, awe, reverence and gratitude toward him by our praise, thanksgiving and obedience.

Corporate Worship

Our worship of the Lord on Sundays integrates music, corporate confession and prayer, scripture reading, giving, and expository preaching. The Bible is the source for preaching God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Preaching is primarily the responsibility of the pastor and occasionally of pastoral interns. Members of Gateway participate in scripture readings and intercessory prayer.

Worship music features a mix of styles, including contemporary praise songs, and traditional hymns. Offering different musical styles encourages singing to the Lord by all of God’s people no matter their individual preferences.

Since we are a small congregation, there are various opportunities to share our cares and concerns with one another and and to participate in prayers of praise and thanksgiving. We invite you to come experience the joys of worship and fellowship with an inviting congregation.

People of all ages are welcomed to attend our worship service. Nursery care is provided for ages infant through age 2 and we offer a children’s Sunday School class for ages 3 through 6 during our worship services. Most worshipers come in casual attire.

Personal Worship

We encourage our members to spend daily time alone with God in prayer and in his Word, the Bible, to express our love and adoration to him and to deepen our relationship with God through Christ. Man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy him forever, and we can begin right now!

Family Worship

We encourage our families to be creative in having a regular time for family worship.
